About Me

I am a software engineer at CIBC Bank USA and voice actor who lives in suburban Chicago.

Professional life

My professional life has evolved, but technology and art have been constants throughout.

My career started in documentary television, and the bulk of my productions featured historical and political content. While at Towers Productions, I worked on productions for National Geographic Channel, CNN, History Channel, Weather Channel, Biography, and Discovery Times Channel. After leaving Towers Productions, I worked for Kurtis Productions, the documentary production company founded by legendary Chicago news anchor Bill Kurtis. While at Kurtis, I worked on the CNBC series "American Greed."

In my spare time, I began dabbling in graphic design and that exploration quickly led me into Web development. In 2012, I left television production, and my career transitioned into technology. My initial focus was Web development, but my time at CDK lead me into software engineering. After roughly 5.5 years at CDK, I began working in BMW's Chicago tech office, which was one of the main development hubs for the BMW and MINI mobile apps. After the office closed in Nov. 2020, I worked at Paylocity before going to CIBC Bank USA.

Education and training

I earned an Associate in Arts from College of DuPage and a Bachelor of Arts in history and journalism minor from Roosevelt University. I've also completed a certificate in Web Authoring and Design at Waubonsee Community College, and I have completed a handful of classes in Harper College's network administration program.

I’ve always enjoyed performing, and after attending an introductory workshop on voiceovers, I completed additional training with Voices for All. In 2018, I volunteered at WHCM, the radio station for Harper College, where I recorded public service announcements for the station.

My idea of fun

When I’m not working, I enjoy traveling, working out, and dancing. From 2015-2019, I performed for Legacy Dance Company's bachata teams. Under the direction of Rey Sanchez, Legacy Dance Company was one of the premier Latin dance teams in Chicago. During my time with Legacy, I performed 11 times at congresses in Chicago, Orlando, Los Angeles, and Puerto Vallarta.
